How To Get Different Fruit In ACNH

New Horizons Player at Fruit Farm

I know what you're thinking right now. I know what's been keeping you up at night. The burning question on all of our minds, really: How do I get different kinds of fruit and fruit trees on my Animal Crossing: New Horizons island? Well, at ease, soldier. I am about to break it down for you, K.K. Slider style.

  1. Native Fruit:

Okay, so you're already privy to the fact that your island has one type of fruit naturally growing on it at the beginning of your game. You've picked it, you've eaten it, and you've probably discovered that you need Fruit Energy in the game to tackle stronger tasks, like breaking rocks and moving trees. So, you're covered on that front. But that doesn't solve how we can get a greater variety of fruit on our island. NEXT!

  1. Nook's Cranny:

This is handy when you're just starting out in the game. Sometimes Timmy and Tommy manage to get their paws on a fruit that isn't native to your island, and they sell it for a small fee. Be sure to check back regularly to see what's in their inventory.

  1. Balloon Presents:

Using your trusty slingshot, aim for the balloons floating across the sky. Not only is this a great way to acquire new furniture and other items, but it's also how you may receive a fruit that's different from your native one. Just remember: Don't let the balloon land over water, or it's gone forever.

  1. Visiting Other Islands:

There are two parts to this. Firstly, there's online play using Dodo Codes. Perhaps your buddy also owns a copy of ACNH, and you're able to fly to their island to check out what types of fruit they have hiding in their hills. But if you're like me and don't have a friend (you're misunderstood, I get it), this solution won't work for you. That's where mystery islands come into play. Head over to your airport with your pockets full of Nook Miles Tickets that you've bought in bulk from Nookmart. Then, tell your favorite flightless bird that you'd like to use one of your tickets to travel to a mystery island. You'll arrive at a remote island that hopefully has different fruit than your island, amongst other resources and possibly even a new villager to invite to come live with you and your villagers! Take your findings home, empty your pockets, and turn right back around to fly to a different island to scout for more stuff.

  1. Kapp'n Tours:

Alright, so your island is rating 3 stars, and things are starting to look up for you. You notice a strange individual who hangs out on his boat near your dock. You're slightly curious but mostly wondering why he just lets the rain hit him in the face like that on rainy days (this truly troubles me). You approach him, strike up a conversation, and he tells you that for a small fee of 1,000 Nook Miles (NOT Nook Miles Tickets), he can take you on a faraway adventure. With every red alert going off in your mind (because why would you ever get on a boat with a stranger and leave your home?!), you accept and hop onto the boat for your adventure. To your surprise, he brings you to a remote island that's teeming with all sorts of resources! Here, you may find the fruit that you're looking for. Harvest it, bring it home, plant it, and voila! You've got a variation in fruit growing. It should be noted that this can only happen once a day. I mean, he gets tired after all that singing of sea shanties and whatnot.

  1. Nookmart:

Remember how I mentioned you bought all those Nook Miles Tickets from Nookmart in point number 4? Well, why didn't you think about snagging our Fruit Pack while you were at it!? It's that simple. We offer a fruit pack that includes a 10-stack of each kind of fruit for just $1.99. That's 60 fruits for 2 bucks?! C'mon now. Even Tom Nook would jump at that deal. 😉

Alright, I've spilled the beans, my friends: a comprehensive guide on how to get fruits in ACNH. You can sleep well now, knowing the answers, but do not stop your quest for knowledge! The truth is out there, folks; it's probably hiding on a mystery island right now...
